James makes the best faces, especially when he is upset! He sticks out his bottom lip as far as it will go for a few seconds before he starts to cry. Its like his warning for us to hurry up. Very dramatic!

James just had his first round of shots today at the doctors - and he did not like them at all! He was great and all smiles until the nurse came in with the tray and he just busted out crying like he knew. He now weights 12 lbs and 3 oz and is 23 inches long. We still cannot believe that he will be two months old tomorrow. He is so alert now and really tries to focus on everything that is going on. He is so curious! He has a great temperment and is so sweet. His babysitter adores him and says that he flirts with all the other kids and their parents - he will do about anything for attention!

He usually does not like a pacifier but this was just one of those days!

At two weeks James weighed 8 lbs and 4 ounces (he still was 21.5 inches) - he goes back to the doctor next week for his two month appointment and we cannot wait to see how much he has grown - he seems so big now! We cannot believe that he is almost two months, time really does fly. He is looking so much like his dad now :)

James Aidan

James Aidan is here! He was born on March 28 at 6:58pm, and what an entrance he made! Meredith started having contractions a little after 4 on Sunday afternoon and all of a sudden they picked up and he was on his way - we barely made it to the hospital in time. Thank goodness it was Sunday and there was no traffic (and thank goodness John ran some red lights or else we never would have made it) It was intense but totally worth it, once we got to the hospital everything happened so fast and then he was here - all 7 lbs 4 oz and 21.5 inches of him.

This first week home has been magical, we cannot describe how amazing it is to be parents. There have been so many wonderful moments and memories already. Our family and friends have been so great and supportive - so a big thank you to everyone for helping make this such a wonderful time in our lives.

We can't forget our two first babies though... Duke and Bronx are going to be wonderful big brothers! They are also very excited about the new addition and loved helping John with getting the nursery ready - I think they came out of the room with more blue paint on them than the walls!

9 weeks to go... Can't wait to meet our little man!
