bye bye box

Tonight we put James' favorite toy away, his clear plastic box. He is just to big for it now and constantly tipping it over. I know when he comes down tomorrow morning he will look for it but hopefully we can bribe him to forget with other toys and objects.

Or we will just get a bigger box.

Bath time

After Addison and Amanda left, James took a very long nap and then had a wonderfully fun bath.

And then after his wonderful bath, we put on warm PJs, had dinner and then played in the family room. Bronx wanted to say hi.

And then Duke wanted to say hi.

And then here comes a cat...

and then we needed another bath!

Weekend Playdate!

This weekend Amanda and Addison came and visited. Addison is 2 years and 2 days older than James (and he was two ounces bigger when he was born... so I think that means they are destined to be as close as 2 brothers, get it?) James loves toddlers and older babies, but he has yet to understand the very important concept of personal space. Addison was very sweet and tolerant of James' constant climbing and grabbing - it was a wonderful weekend (especially the part when they both napped at the same time!) I cant wait to see them grow up together - those two are going to be thick as thieves.

Weekend home

This weekend was one of the first weekends in a very long time that we stayed at home and did not have any plans - and it was perfect. We stayed in our PJ's and watched movies and played board games (well John and I did, James only wanted to play with the pieces that we needed when we needed them - its amazing how strategic he can be when he wants to be).

Sippy cups

We have started to introduce James to the sippy cup, and he LOVES it. Too bad he thinks its just another toy that has the added bonus of squirting milk out when shaken. I consider it a win when some of that milk squirts in his mouth and not on the rug.

Getting Big

Last week John took James for his 9 month appointment - he is a happy healthy baby. Weighing in at 22 lb and 13 ounces and 29.5 inches long. It just amazes me how much he is learning and growing and changing every day!
