Mother's Day

My mom and I haven't always seen eye to eye. We still don't. But I've always known that she loved me. And as I've grown older she has very gracefully transitioned from being a parent to being a friend. Thanks for being a great friend, Mom. And more importantly, thanks for being an amazing Nana. I love you.

Spring!

Matthias is starting to smile so much now! He is really trying to focus on things and pay attention to see whats going on in the world now.

Two weeks ago my dad came to visit and we got to go strawberry picking! It was a beautiful day and we picked two huge basked full of strawberries.

About 10 minutes into the picking, Madeleine hit a muddy spot and went down - and she was devastated that she got so muddy.

But then we found some ice cream and it made everything better!

More smiles :)

And some big kid snuggles :)

This is James' baseball ready stance. He thinks he is hilarious!

And some even more smiles!

James and I went to a one of those paint classes, where the teacher talks you through how to paint a certain painting. It was a lot of fun and James did great. Usually those classes are accompanied by lots of wine, but since this was a kids one - there were lots of cupcakes! A definite win for James.

Madeleine and James have gotten so good at holding Matthias and learning how to interact with him. They have really been amazing big siblings.

We went to James' school for an event and he was so sweet and passed the time by reading stories to Madeleine.

This weekend we went to a friends neighborhood block party - all the kids had the best time! They basically ran crazy for hours until the dropped!
