Fairy Festival at the Latta Plantation

This morning we went to the Lattal Plantation for their annual fairy festival! We went with our friends and the kids had a blast. I had no idea how many fairy activities there are!

This fairy told the kids that she has Thanksgiving with Tinkerbell every year. And that Tinkerbell steals the turkey legs every year. She was by far the kids favorite fairy there.

There was face painting. Because all fairies have their faces painted of course.

And there was fairy boat making, because not all fairies can swim.

James was able to launch his boat into the lake - he really hoped that the fairy who found his boat liked to fish because he tied an anchor to his boat specially for fishing.

There was also fairy wand making.

And there was popcorn, because all fairies need snack.

But the highlight of the day were building fairy houses in the woods. I think James and his friend Hailey built three of them! They really wanted to stay and see the fairies move into their houses, but thankfully we were able to convince them that they only moved in when no one was around watching. And maybe the promise of more popcorn helped move them alone too!

It was a super fun and magical day for the kids. They were so excited and just in awe of everything going on around them.
